Hello, my name is Elena Kariyannis, also known as 'erocksny.' I was born and raised in Long Island, NY.
As a Greek-American artist, I am driven by passion, impulse, and extremes. Creativity flows through me—it permeates my dreams when I sleep and surrounds me when I'm awake, visible in the streets and in the sky. Love, music, people, places, times, and dreams profoundly influence my work, connecting my senses to the world and fueling my creative drive.
My artwork often mirrors the events and experiences of my life. The symbols I incorporate are like hieroglyphics of my own world. Each piece captures what I see, feel, and think, serving as a diary of my life—an artistic representation of my energy, soul, and love.
I am an explorer of styles and mediums. Whether I'm painting on canvas, walls, or clothing, I embrace experimentation. My art signifies an ongoing exploration of my identity, where I grow as an artist, as a human being, as a woman, and as an inspiration to others.
I have been fortunate to have successful exhibitions in New York, including a group exhibit at the Leslie-Lohman Gallery in Soho, a solo exhibit at the Chelsea Room in the Chelsea Hotel, a solo exhibit at the Dumbo Loft in Brooklyn, a solo exhibit at the Empire Room in the Empire State Building, and participation in ART BASEL in 2019. I have also showcased my art in various venues in Athens, Greece.
I feel alive and blessed, grateful to God and my supportive family for believing in me and my work. Each day is an adventure, and I am constantly challenged artistically. My life has transformed into an incredible journey where career and passion collide. Living in the moment, I never stand still but instead keep moving and evolving.
My latest art launch is titled "The Love Attack – Connecting People with LOVE." Love is contagious, love is magic! Through my unique art style, I have the opportunity to reflect upon and share this powerful message of love, establishing genuine connections with people all around the world.
